Professors and students from the Wildlife Institute, gained a 3-day first-aid training course, delivered by the Wilderness Medical Training (WMT) organization from the UK. The WMT are leading experts in the provision of medical training for overseas travelers and expedition medics.
The course came in various forms of teaching and learning, combined with theory and scenery simulation practice, which equipped the participates vital knowledge, techniques and experience to resolve an injury, infection or illness condition in the field.
Also we were given the opportunity to learn how to deal with situations and circumstances we might expect during our fieldwork in particular sites such as tropical rain-forests and high altitude montane shrub lands.
In the end, all attendees were awarded a certificate for the course, most importantly, we all gained knowledge that we will benefit from for the rest of our lives.
